Summer Fun! Or not so fun...

Summer started off just like school, work come home, then do more work at home. It's been kind of boring, I haven't done anything fun with my friends all summer. I guess I should try harder but I have been busy. Ahhhh excuses, excuses. Anyways maybe I'll be able to hang out with them later.
Connor left on his mission four days ago, he is going to Kentucky for two whole years! My mom is having a hard time letting him go. I hope that she doesn't get all depressed. We need to be upbeat and happy about what he's doing. It will be good for him and help him in his life. He is really homesick and he doesn't feel well because he had a viruse for a whole week before he went into the MTC. His hands and his feet were peeling and they only have a tissue paper thin layer of skin on his feet. He doesn't feel well but he is trying, I know he will do great.
So about two weeks ago I found out that the vertebrate in my back have twisted 45 degrees and I have a curve in my back of 57 degrees. This means that I will have to have surgery because the curve is over 30 degrees. We thought at first that it wasn't that bad and we could just brace it but then the doctor told us that my spine will continue to curve a 1 to 2 degrees each year. This means that by the time I am thirty my spine will have collapse in on itself. So I am going to be having surgery on August 31 to fuse my spine and then place two rods on either side of my spine to keep the fusion in place. This will cause me to be in the hospital for a week and then I will be on home rest for a month causing me to miss a month of school. Then after that I am not allowed to do anything strenuous for six months. Yay me! I guess I'm ok with it I just wish that I didn't have to wait for another month and a half. I hate waiting. Oh well, I guess it's not that bad.
I guess I'll go get ready for bed and make sure that my dogs are inside.
